Light 'em up

Caroline and Uncle James

Caroline and Katie
James brought home some "fireworks" from North Carolina. We set them off before the storm hit tonight. The kids loved the sparklers, cap guns, and bomb throws. They had such a great time. He also brought home some awesome Pigman's BBQ, coleslaw, hush puppies, and beans. We all say, Thanks Uncle James"!! It was the best I think I have had in a very long time.

Opening presents

More Presents

And the best for last, Caroline's first Coach purse.
Well, we just celebrated Caroline's 9th birthday. Hard to believe , I know. Where did all this time go. She has grown into quite the young lady. And, might I add, very opinionated, which I don't know where that came from!! She is going into the 3rd grade and has lots of school buddies she can't wait to see. We love her very much and are so proud of her!!!!

Poppy

Everyone, meet Poppy, he was Caroline's birthday present. He has become quite the comical dog. He turned one year old on July 28. Him and Caroline are one day apart. Although, he has been given the nick name Houdini, because this dog gets out of the fence every chance he gets. He has even scales the wood pile and jumps into our neighbors' yard (thank god his yard is fenced). He is very protective of the kids and I just love it. He is a great addition to our little farm.
