Harland's Man Cut

Harland got his first true man cut. He is getting over the flu (even after having the flu shot) so I took him to get a fresh cut before going back to school. We went to a place called Sport Clips and they had a package called The triple play. So, he had a cut, head massage and wash and a hot towel. I asked him how he was doing half way through this picture. He did not answer, I think he was falling asleep. He said he loved it, and this was his new hair place. And all this was only $12. He has always loved getting his haircut, but now I think he is going to want to go every day!

New Dining Room

Hello again, we have been busy around the house. I finally got Henry to agree to paint the dining room. I chose a color called Cherry Cobbler. Well, after 4 coats of color it finally looks good. We still have to put up the crown molding (he got tired of messing with the edges at the top) and change out the lighting fixture and it will be completely done!!

This Makes Me Feel Old......

Caroline pulled out Henry's old laptop. She starts playing some games on it. That's about all it good for now and starts to ask about laptops when I was a kid. There was no other wording to use other than....are you ready....sitting down...here it goes.....we did not have laptops back then. Ok, pick yourselves up off the floor. Have a great evening.

Our Trip to Richmond

On Saturday, we took an in promtu trip up to our State Capital. We stopped at the Virginia Aviation Museum and the State Capital, with a side trip into Carytown so I could pick up some Hadley pieces. There is a whole other story behind Carytown that is completely my fault, but we won't discuss that other than to say, I was fired from directions. It is amazing how mixing up the street names will throw a huge wrench into the final destination. West Clay and West Cary sound very much alike right? We all had a blast but, for some reason the camera won't download the pictures of the Capital. The kids were very impressed with all they saw. And I can now say I have been there. I have lived here all my life and don't ever remember going to the Capital Building.
